Informing the Uninformed

October 2, 2007

Information.  We all use it, need it, and provide it for others.  I think informing people is important because it is involved with every aspect of life.  We provide, and use information constantly, without even realizing it.  All people enjoy taking in information they like to hear about, and can use throughout their lives.

Personally, I want to inform people about different genres of music.  Most people listen to what the radio and MTV think is ‘cool’.  Contrary to popular belief, just because MTV says something is cool, doesn’t automatically make it cool.  I want to broaden people’s music horizons.  There are so many great artists and bands out there that no one knows about because they aren’t played on the popular stations.  Many of these bands deserve recognition, and I am willing to give that to them.  I am also willing to inform people about these unsung heroes because people shouldn’t be listening to what television stations tell them to.  They should be listening to music they truly enjoy.
