Express yourself **edited

pencil.jpgIn life you have a passion. There’s no two ways about it. How can you go on each day without taking pride in something you do, or finding joy in one of the many things you create? It takes some people longer than others to realize what their passion is and how exactly to apply it. You may stumble upon your passion during an experience that changes your whole outlook on life. Or your passion can come to you naturally and be your most prized talent. My passion falls in the latter half of the two; my passion is my natural talent.

In life, you feel emotions of all kinds. Happiness, pride, sadness, dismay, or anger are feelings that come to us on a daily basis. In order to reveal to others how I am feeling or for my own satisfaction, I use a little thing called expression. I write to reveal my most coveted thoughts and let my imagination fly. I draw to let my eyes take a journey across a great white space. Most importantly, I create what I feel will take me to peace and serenity. I can only express myself when I feel the strongest point of emotion possible. In fact, I find it hard to be successful in any of my artwork when I am not connected to the piece I am creating.

People often times confuse a passion with what they do for a living. But your passion should be what you love to do and how it makes you feel. You don’t necessarily have to succeed in your passion. I want to make a great success out of my passion though. I want to let people know that emotions are okay to reveal in different forms such as artwork or poetry. I want to combine that line between what I love to do and what I have to do because my passion is part of both. I can’t go a day without writing down my thoughts, or using a pencil to draw. My passion is my talent, my life, my emotions all accumulated into one, that takes me to a different place where I feel worth it.
